Information you give us
- Bid requests: your name, company, email, phone, job location, project details, and any plans or files you upload.
- Contact messages and builder packet requests: your name, company, email, phone, and your message.
- Crew applications: contact details and information about your crew, experience, and the work you do.
- Subcontractor documents: certificates of insurance, workers’ compensation certificates, W-9 forms (which include a taxpayer identification number), lien waivers, and their dates.
- Testimonials: your name, company, and comments, if you choose to send them. We only publish a testimonial with your permission.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site; it uses cookies and collects information about your device and visit. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Employees who log in to the employee portal receive login cookies so the site remembers them.
How we use it
- To review plans, prepare bids, and follow up with you about a project.
- To answer questions and send the documents you request.
- To evaluate crew applications and work with subcontractors, including keeping insurance and tax records current as required for our business.
- To schedule and manage jobs, and to keep records of work and payments.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when needed to run our business: with service providers that host our website and send our email, with our accountant, insurance carriers, or auditors when they need records, and when the law requires it. Subcontractor documents are stored in a private area of the site that only JJC’s office can access.
How long we keep it
We keep bid requests, project records, and subcontractor documents for as long as we need them for the project and for our tax, insurance, and legal record-keeping obligations. If you would like us to delete information we no longer need, contact us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Security
The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Private areas require a login or a private link, and access is limited to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please do not send us information you do not need to.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@jjcconstruction.net.
Children
This site is for builders, contractors, and businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new date.
